Redken – Diamond Oil Line

Diamond Oil is hair oils line released by Redken. These present themselves very luxurious due to chunky and heavy glass bottles. Packagings have non-standard, a bit tubby shape. Irregular surface is expected to remind of diamond, mentioned in the name. Diamond Redken oils have characteristic look, despite having different colours (gold, black and pink). These are comfortable to hold in hand, but at the same time can easily slip out. Application is simple thanks to convenient pipette or pump (in case of pink Redken Diamond Oil).

Redken Diamond Oil in a basic version is dedicated for basic hair care of damaged hair. Oil regenerates and improves repairing processes after penetrating hair structure. Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine nourishes, restores and strengthens hair. It seals their structure what provides healthy shine, prevents frizzing and protects against damages, e.g. during the stylisation.

Seal of excessively raised hair cuticles with Redken Diamond Oil is possible thanks to three natural oils:

•  sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil),
•  coriander oil (Coriandrum Sativum Seed Oil),
•  apricot kernel oil (Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil).

DIAMOND OIL SHATTERPROOF SHINE INTENSE

For whom?
Hair oil for matte, rough and very damaged hair.

Version with more intense action on hair is Redken Diamond Oil Intense. This is a product, which also have nourishing and regenerating properties. In a perfect way it penetrates even the deepest hair structures to strengthen cuticle armour of hair and improve condition of the most damaged hair. Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense makes hair gain three-dimensional shine, they are protected against damages, do not frizz and are restored with health. Such properties of Redken Shatterproof Shine Intense was ensured by enriching its composition with greater amount of oils:

•  sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil),
•  olive oil (Olea Europaea Oil),
•  jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Oil),
•  coconut oil (Cocos Nucifera Oil),
•  camelina oil (Camelina Sativa Seed Oil),
•  corainder oil (Coriandrum Sativum Seed Oil),

DIAMOND OIL STYLE ENHANCING OIL

Hair oil for all hair types, prior to drying.

Pink oil in Diamond Oil Line is in fact protective serum for hair, which just happen to have oil consistency. Redken Glow Dry Style Enhancing Oil is used before thermal stylisation. It provides hair with smoother, shine and makes work with them easier. Friendly silicones and alcohols soften strands and ensure them with gloss. Diamond Oil Glow Dry Style Enhancing Oil speeds up drying time. Simple stylisation is not a merit of natural oils just like in the rest of the products in Diamond Oil Line. The cosmetic does not contain any oil!

COMPARISON – DIAMOND OIL

The differences between various oils in Redken Diamond Oil Line depend on the oils we compare. The least differences are between Shatterproof Shine and Shatterproof Shine Intense – both oils are dedicated for hair care of damaged hair, but the other one contains more natural oils in the composition and has more intense action.

However, Diamond Oil Glow Dry has entirely different dedication and composition, that is based on silicon and alcohol, with no oils. Despite being added to the Diamond Oil cosmetic line, its formula, consistency and scent are entirely different. It is also used differently – not for hair care, but as a cosmetic for stylisation.

In general, two main products Redken Diamond Oil are similar when it comes to the consistency. These are colourless hair oils, that are dosed with a high quality pipette. The dispenser is unstandardised, because equipped in the button, which makes application of hair oil easier. Product’s scent is not perfumed, not very nice and a bit different in each version of Diamond Oil.
